Shop nowBefore you check out: wear and maintenance
Kydex is a hard thermoplastic, and your holster is moulded tightly to one specific firearm and light combination. That tight fit is what gives you retention and a consistent draw. It is also what marks your gear.
- Finish wear is normal and it starts early. Contact points on the slide, frame, muzzle and light will burnish and then wear through. This is not a defect and it is not a fault in the holster.
- Weapon lights wear fastest. Most light bodies are anodised aluminium, which marks far more readily than a slide finish. On models with very few retention points the holster grips a small area, so all of that wear concentrates in one or two spots.
- Dust and grit get in. Any holster worn on the body collects debris, and trapped particles cut into a finish much faster than clean Kydex does. Rinse the holster with clean water and let it dry fully when it gets dirty. Do not oil it.
- Screws work loose. Use threadlocker. Kydex flexes every time you move, and retention, clip and mounting screws will back out over time. Apply a medium strength threadlocker such as Loctite 243 when you fit the holster and whenever you adjust it, then check the screws periodically. If you do lose a screw or a clip, tell us and we will send replacements.
- Retention loosens slightly as it beds in. A new holster is meant to feel tight. Adjust the tension screws once it has settled, and threadlock them again afterwards.
If your firearm, light or optic is a collection piece that you need to keep unmarked, do not carry it in this holster. We do not accept returns, refunds or warranty claims on the grounds that a holster marked a firearm, weapon light or optic.
